Reunion

Last night, Arazyr and I went to my 20 year high school reunion. I had a pretty good time - saw and talked to quite a few people, and the food was fantastic! I think the DJs seriously needed a clue, though - they really should have figured out, when just about everybody spent most of the evening in the hallway outside the ballroom where the event officially took place, so they could chat (at a shout, because of the music inside the room), that it was time to turn the music down, at least a little. Ah, well.

Economics, School, Knitting, and a Two-Year-Old

Lots of updating to do!!!

First off, just on the outside chance that anybody was concerned, Arazyr has been back to work, since about mid-September - a couple of weeks after I last posted. We're still doing a bit of catch-up on stuff, from that really lean period (let me tell you, a family of three and a half trying to live on one person's unemployment insurance only works as long as the family's financial reserves last), but things are definitely looking up.

Long Overdue Update

Hey, look! It is another of my infrequent blog entries... not that it matters, as I don't think much of anybody reads this stuff, anyway, but...

I'm done with my nutrition class, and while I haven't gotten my official grade, yet, I know I'm getting an A - I got something like 96% of the possible points in the class, and that comes up as an A, pretty much no matter how you slice it. So... one class down.

Input!!!!

...and so another large gap in the blog comes to an end.

Sweaters, Classes, and Poison Ivy

Hey, I actually got back to this, before an entire month passed! I really need to find a way to get to this more often, because stuff that seems very blog-worthy at the time of occurrence seems less so, once a few weeks have passed, especially as any "fun" details fade.

Random Tuesday

Well, hello. Here ends another multiweek (5-6, I believe) gap in my blogging. As much as it disappoints me that I've lapsed for so long, there is some good news in my life:

My Etsy shop is up, and I've got a couple items listed, though I have three more that I really need to get up there. I also have to get some pictures to my sister-in-law, so she can help me make an actual banner for the shop.

Since my last post, I did manage to get one major yardwork session in. I did a lot of bush/tree trimming.

Progressing

Well, I'm signed up for my first class in my drive to my next degree/career. It is an online class that starts in July. It's a small thing, perhaps, but it is a beginning. I'm looking forward to it, even as I'm wondering how I'll manage future classes, around KB. One thing at a time, however. Besides, it feels good to have made a start.

God Will Provide

I am, it would seem, a very bad blogger. Despite the fact that I've been eying the computer, wishing I could find time to blog, for weeks, it still came as a little bit of a shock to me that it has been more than 4 weeks since I've written anything.

Catching Up, and More Prayer, Please

I feel like I'm behind in everything - behind on the dishes, the cleaning, the accounts, getting a start on yardwork for the season, my knitting, blogging... pretty much you name it. So, first off, let me say that I really enjoyed my spinning class. I'm getting slightly better than "lousy" with a hand spindle, and I even got to try a wheel (with which I'm absolutely horrible). The ladies that run the shop where I took the class were very nice, and it is a great shop, in general.

A Break For Prayer

I got a call from a friend of mine, recently, with some very bad news - her 20-year-old daughter was found to have cancerous cells in her cervix. Fortunately, it seems to have been caught very early, and it is believed that it can be handled via "freeze and burn", which doesn't sound pleasant, but nonetheless sounds a heck of a lot better than radiation or chemo. Further on the down side, however, is that the daughter has no insurance. One can only guess how long this will all take to play out, and how much damage, medical and financial shall be sustained by all involved.
